How We’ll Work Together

I believe every person has a story worth understanding. My role is not to tell you who you should become, but to walk alongside you as you discover greater clarity, healing and hope. My counseling is rooted in a person-centered approach, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll create a safe, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected and supported as we work toward meaningful and lasting change.

Because every person is unique, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. While I draw from several evidence-based counseling approaches, I believe the most important part of therapy isn't the technique - it's the relationship. Research consistently shows that a trusting, collaborative relationship is one of the strongest predictors of meaningful change. My goal is to create that kind of environment so that the approaches we use can best support your growth and healing.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Our relationships profoundly shape the way we experience ourselves and the world around us. Emotionally Focused Therapy helps uncover the emotions and attachment patterns that often lie beneath conflict, anxiety and disconnection. As we better understand these patterns, new pathways toward healing, security and healthier relationships can emerge. Whether you're coming individually or as a couple, EFT provides a compassionate framework for lasting emotional change.

Narrative Therapy

The stories we tell ourselves influence how we see our lives and our future. Narrative Therapy helps identify the beliefs and experiences that have shaped your story while recognizing that those stories do not have to define you. Together, we'll explore your strengths, values and resilience as we begin to rewrite unhelpful narratives. My hope is that you'll discover a story marked not by limitations, but by possibility and hope.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Our thoughts, emotions and behaviors are closely connected. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress or other challenges. Together, we'll develop practical strategies to replace those patterns with healthier ways of thinking and responding. CBT is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that equips you with skills you can continue using long after counseling ends.

When our wounds cease to be a source of shame, and become a source of healing, we have become wounded healers.
